Mother and child speaking with a grovery store employee.Adults, ages 19 to 64, are the engine that drives the Rhode Island economy and that make this state and our nation prosperous and strong. The EOHHS agencies provide adults in this age group with the help needed to meet life’s unexpected challenges and gain greater control of their physical and behavioral health, general well-being and prospects for the future.

We offer assistance that can help you help yourself.

If you do not have enough money to buy food, we can give you help. There is also a limited healthcare and cash assistance benefit for people who have a temporary debilitating condition and can’t work; Veteran’s services are available for those who served this nation during war; we offer behavioral health services for adults fighting addiction and/or mental illness; and provide help detecting, treating and managing breast and cervical cancer, HIV and other chronic conditions like diabetes.  We also have prescription assistance programs and can help you stop smoking, overcome a disability, get back to work, and/or find supportive housing.
