Independent Provider Program
Independent Provider
(self-directed care) is an option for people living in their homes who meet the clinical and/or functional criteria for Medicaid LTSS but might need fewer services. People in IP receive homemaker and personal care services. The IP program allows consumers to select their specially trained personal care aides (PCAs), control their service schedules, and receive case management and assistance with PCA coordination. For more information about how to get help with your personal care needs, contact the Service Advisory Agency (SA): Seven Hills Rhode Island at (401) 229-9700.
